Community Advisory Council
The MVC Community Advisory Council supports UT Dallas’ outreach to student veterans. Members include corporate partners, industry professionals, and community leaders dedicated to investing in the development of student veterans.
Community Service
Military-affiliated students participate in community service. Learn about upcoming and past projects.
Connect-A-Vet
Connect-A-Vet to UTD is an opportunity for staff and prospective student veterans from Dallas/Fort Worth area community colleges to meet the student veteran community at UTD and learn more about the University from MVC staff. Contact veterans@utdallas.edu to RSVP.
Military Community Advocates
The Military Community Advocate program assigns a student veteran to a campus office to highlight military-affiliated students.
Cord Ceremony
Students graduating from UTD who serve or have served in the U.S. military are invited to wear a special red, white and blue honor cord at fall and spring commencements in recognition of their service to our country. Contact the MVC for more information.
Discussion Group
Student vets discuss topics including stress management, combat/military experiences, and transition to civilian life. Facilitated by Domingo Rodriguez, a Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN) mentor.
Donate to the MVC
Your philanthropic support helps the MVC assist student veterans and military-affiliated students. Learn more about giving to the MVC.
Green Zone
The Green Zone program aims to establish a University-wide network of staff and faculty who will shape military-friendly campus culture. Classes are offered periodically by the MVC.
Guard/Reserve Students
Students who serve in the National Guard and Reserves can contact MVC staff for additional assistance. Get more information on assistance.
ROTC
UTD students have the option to join the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs hosted at neighboring universities.

SALUTE
UTD has an official chapter of the SALUTE Veterans Honor Society. Inductions are held in the spring.

Student Veterans Association
The UTD Student Veterans Association is a chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA). They meet at the MVC and focus on professional development, community service, and social functions.
Meals for UTD Vets
UTD has partnered with Meals for Vets for on-campus dining options. Apply online for Meals for Vets.
Transfer Orientation
During transfer orientation, veterans and military-affiliated students can participate in a “Veteran Information Session.” Students will tour the Military and Veteran Center, learn about MVC programs, and meet VA/Hazlewood coordinators.
Veteran Advisory Council
The UTD Veteran Advisory Council is made up of University faculty and staff committed to the success of student veterans.
Veterans Day
UTD recognizes Veterans Day by hosting a campus event. In addition, Raytheon Technologies sponsors a reception to recognize the contribution of student veterans.
Welcome Lunch
The MVC hosts a lunch to welcome back students at the beginning of each semester. Get connected to staff, peer advisors, and other student vets.
