Military and Veteran Center

Welcome to the Summer 2021 semester. The MVC is now open, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Due to limited staffing during the month of June, the office will close one hour daily for lunch. During July, the MVC will close for lunch only on Fridays. To meet with an MVC staff member, contact them directly to schedule an appointment.

Current students are invited to join the MVC Virtual Team which has a general channel for questions and an announcements channel. Request access to the Team using the code “kL6z8dL“.

Welcome to the Fall 2020 semester. Military and Veteran Center (MVC) staff is working remotely and available to connect with you, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Our office inbox is veterans@utdallas.edu, or visit Contact Us for specific staff members. MVC staff are available for virtual appointments via Webex and Teams.

Student Emergency Financial Assistance Program

The Vice President for Student Affairs and the Dean of Students established a Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund to help students with unanticipated expenses. A Student Emergency Financial Assistance need is defined as an unforeseen, short-term issue that requires financial resources to solve, and, if not addressed, could prohibit a student from remaining enrolled and persisting toward graduation at UT Dallas.

MVC Veteran Benevolent Fund

Students who previously/currently serve(d) in the U.S. military and who are experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact MVC staff, Lisa Adams or Chad Goins, for access to additional resources for UTD military-affiliated students.

National Guard Activations

Students whose units have been activated for COVID-19 are encouraged to contact MVC staff at veterans@utdallas.edu. We want to keep in touch with activated UTD students, provide checklists, and ensure policies/options related to military activation while enrolled are understood.
