Military Community Mentors

Launched in the summer of 2024, the Military Community Mentors (MCMs) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) program helps military-affiliated students successfully transition to university life. MCMs are paired with transfer students, new students, dependents, and spouses based on shared majors and experiences.

These mentors are crucial in guiding new students through academic, social, and administrative challenges. They help them overcome obstacles, stay on track with their goals, and connect with other students. This supportive environment creates a strong network of peers who can rely on each other for advice and encouragement. Ultimately, the MCM program ensures that military-affiliated students and their families have the resources they need for a successful academic journey.
